Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city infrastructure including sidewalks, streetlights, and park benches
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist in emergency response during natural disasters or public safety incidents
- Perform routine landscape maintenance and vegetation control in public spaces
- Document work progress and submit daily activity reports
- Adhere to all OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale community projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, maintenance, or municipal services
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (bulldozer, excavator) preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of power tools and hand tools
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Availability to work weekends and holidays during emergencies
