Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and repairs of city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency public works incidents during inclement weather or special events
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal properties and document findings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in community outreach initiatives for public works programs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works, construction, or related field
- Valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with GIS mapping or municipal software a plus
