Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on public facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., trucks, graders, mowers) safely and efficiently
- Respond to urgent public works emergencies during severe weather events
- Conduct routine inspections of city property and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for large-scale municipal projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) mandatory
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or construction
- Certification in hazardous materials handling preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and irregular hours
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
