Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair streets, sidewalks, and traffic control devices.
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, graders, and street sweepers.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and citizen inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all work sites strictly comply with OSHA safety regulations.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter weather events.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of public facilities and equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License (Commercial Class A or B preferred).
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction, landscaping, or public works maintenance.
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety.
