Responsibilities
- Maintain public parks, streets, and drainage systems with precision and safety awareness
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, trucks, loaders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on city property
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on disaster response initiatives
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
- Adhere to OSHA standards and municipal safety protocols
- Engage with residents to address community infrastructure concerns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Valid Texas Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or ability to obtain within 60 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic plumbing/electrical troubleshooting skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation
- Clean driving record and background check clearance
