Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including roads, parks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency service requests within specified response times
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with municipal standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for coordinated project execution
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records of materials used
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works, construction, or maintenance
- Certification in equipment operation (e.g., forklift, dump truck) preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
