Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public parks, streets, and recreational facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs and storm-related cleanup
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal assets and report issues
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Assist with community events and beautification initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or similar field
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable
