Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment for construction/maintenance projects
- Perform routine inspections and repairs of public facilities and infrastructure
- Manage waste collection and recycling operations across designated zones
- Respond to emergency weather-related public service requests
- Maintain parks, green spaces, and recreational facilities
- Document work activities and submit daily progress reports
- Adhere to OSHA and municipal safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- CDL Class B certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of power tools and heavy machinery operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety
