Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance, repair, and cleaning operations
- Operate heavy machinery (street sweepers, dump trucks) safely
- Respond to public works emergencies and service requests
- Assist in park maintenance and public facility upkeep
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years public works or construction experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
