Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on municipal facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate specialized equipment including snowplows, mowers, and construction tools
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Respond to public service requests and community maintenance concerns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records of operations
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works, construction, or maintenance
- Valid Minnesota Class D driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
