Responsibilities
- Perform daily street cleaning, litter removal, and waste collection across assigned neighborhoods
- Operate and maintain sanitation equipment (trucks, sweepers, power tools)
- Assist with snow removal and winter weather emergency response
- Conduct routine park and public space maintenance duties
- Document service activities and submit accurate daily reports
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for city-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Strong work ethic and commitment to public service
- Residency in Boston preferred (not required)
