Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor, including excavation, grading, and paving of city streets.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, and graders.
- Inspect and repair public infrastructure, including sidewalks, curbs, and drainage systems.
- Maintain and clean public parks, green spaces, and recreational facilities.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and severe weather situations promptly.
- Ensure all job sites strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and protocols.
- Clear debris, litter, and obstructions from public roadways and rights-of-way.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and flexible shift schedules.
