Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public parks, streets, and municipal facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, mowers, and landscaping equipment
- Respond to emergency public works requests during inclement weather
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in community beautification projects and special events
- Complete accurate maintenance logs and equipment inspection reports
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated service delivery
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or facility maintenance
- Valid Class C California Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and irrigation systems
- Strong communication skills and commitment to public service
