Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and public infrastructure to ensure safe passage for vehicles and pedestrians.
- Operate and maintain heavy municipal equipment, including dump trucks, graders, rollers, and paving machines.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during severe winter weather conditions.
- Inspect roadways and drainage systems to identify hazards, potholes, and compliance issues with DOT standards.
- Collect and dispose of waste or debris in designated public areas and right-of-ways.
- Respond to emergency service calls and perform manual labor tasks as required by city management.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Oklahoma Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Basic knowledge of heavy machinery or construction equipment is a plus but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
