Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city facilities, parks, and public infrastructure
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with public works projects including road maintenance and landscaping
- Respond to emergency service calls during inclement weather or civic events
- Conduct regular inspections of municipal assets to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize service delivery
- Document work activities and maintain accurate service records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works or maintenance field
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions year-round
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
