Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public roads, sidewalks, and green spaces
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, graders, and snow removal equipment
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with municipal regulations
- Respond to emergency weather events and disaster recovery efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents and local businesses
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of public works or heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass background check and drug screening
