Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (trucks, mowers, sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency weather-related cleanup operations
- Assist with park maintenance and green space management
- Conduct equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and city protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Missouri driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to public service and community values
- Willingness to obtain required certifications within 90 days
