Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on municipal roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and street sweepers
- Contribute to snow removal and emergency weather response operations
- Assist in park maintenance including landscaping, equipment upkeep, and facility repairs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and municipal standards
- Document work activities and maintain equipment maintenance logs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class B) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works, construction, or related field
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
