Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including snow plows, graders, and excavators
- Respond to emergency weather conditions (snow removal, storm cleanup)
- Conduct safety inspections and report infrastructure hazards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on municipal projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Assist with public events and community beautification initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B)
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction or public works
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
