Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public parks, streets, and facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (sweepers, graders, snow removal equipment)
- Respond to emergency service calls within 2-hour response window
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city improvement projects
- Document work activities and submit daily progress reports
- Participate in weekend/holiday emergency rotations as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Colorado Class B driver's license
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Minimum 1 year public works or heavy equipment experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Basic knowledge of GIS mapping systems preferred
