Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public facilities, sidewalks, and green spaces
- Operate municipal equipment (sweepers, trucks, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist with emergency response during weather events or public safety incidents
- Support community events and festivals through setup, cleanup, and logistical coordination
- Conduct regular inspections of infrastructure to identify maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on urban improvement projects
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong work ethic with punctuality and reliability
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Preferred: 1+ years in construction, landscaping, or maintenance
