Responsibilities
- Maintain public parks, sidewalks, and municipal facilities ensuring cleanliness and safety
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, loaders, and snow removal equipment
- Respond to emergency weather events (snow, storms, floods) for critical infrastructure protection
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on public utilities and roadways
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated municipal projects
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to residents during field operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class B with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works, construction, or related field
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and hand tools safely
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
