Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public facilities, parks, and streetscapes
- Operate light equipment (mowers, trimmers, sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Respond to urgent public works requests within SLA timelines
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities and submit accurate progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C minimum)
- Minimum 2 years in public works or landscaping/maintenance
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varying weather
- Basic proficiency with hand/power tools and equipment
- Strong communication skills and commitment to community service
