Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility security protocols during night shifts
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Respond to emergencies, medical incidents, and security breaches with tactical precision
- Document incidents and maintain detailed shift logs using digital reporting systems
- Screen visitors and packages to prevent contraband entry
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during crisis situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred)
- Valid Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) certification
- Minimum 1 year security/corrections experience
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and physical fitness assessment
- Strong decision-making skills under high-pressure conditions
- CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be available for rotating night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
