Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security rounds and headcounts
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with appropriate protocols
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
- Operate security systems and surveillance equipment
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies as needed
- Ensure proper inmate movement and transportation procedures
- Implement emergency response plans during critical incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Valid Nebraska driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Certified in CPR and first aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
