Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls from the public via telephone and radio.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services to the appropriate locations.
- Enter and update incident reports, field interviews, and status checks into the CAD system.
- Maintain constant vigilance on multiple radio channels to monitor officer status and unit availability.
- Provide critical information to responding officers, including location details and suspect descriptions.
- Perform quality control checks on call logs and documentation for accuracy.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to type at least 35-40 WPM accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and nights.
- Pass a comprehensive background investigation, medical exam, and drug screen.
