Responsibilities
- Monitor facility security and conduct regular perimeter checks during overnight shifts
- Supervise inmate activities and enforce institutional policies with professionalism
- Respond to emergencies, medical incidents, and security breaches promptly
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation throughout shift
- Operate surveillance systems and access control technology
- Collaborate with day shift teams for seamless operations
- Conduct headcounts and ensure facility compliance with safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- TCOLE Basic Correctional Officer certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Physical ability to handle emergency situations and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for report writing
