Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and ensure facility security during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and control room surveillance
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Maintain accurate incident reports and inmate documentation
- Enforce facility rules and conduct inmate counts
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during critical situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Ohio Peace Officer Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean criminal background
- Ability to pass physical fitness and psychological evaluations
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Flexibility to work rotating night schedules (10pm-6am)
