Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility security protocols during overnight hours
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of housing units, recreation areas, and perimeter
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents with calm professionalism
- Maintain detailed logs and incident reports using digital systems
- Screen visitors and packages for contraband in accordance with department policies
- Participate in training drills to maintain emergency response readiness
- Provide rehabilitative support and counseling to assigned inmate population
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Must be 21+ years old with valid Oklahoma driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Physical fitness to handle emergencies, including restraint procedures
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Basic computer proficiency for report documentation
- Previous security or corrections experience highly valued
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
