Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations: Actively monitor security systems, firewalls, and intrusion detection tools to identify and respond to potential threats 24/7.
- Incident Response: Investigate, contain, and eradicate security breaches and malware infections during night operations.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing to ensure compliance with federal standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).
- Configuration Management: Maintain and update security configurations on servers and networks to mitigate risks.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze security reports to provide leadership with actionable insights on system health.
- Compliance: Ensure all security protocols adhere to strict federal regulations and agency policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
- Certification: CISSP, Security+, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT support within a federal or government contracting environment.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network security appliances.
