Responsibilities
- Monitor federal IT infrastructure, networks, and applications during night operations to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Respond to and resolve critical system alerts, tickets, and incidents with urgency and accuracy.
- Conduct routine security scans, patch management, and system maintenance to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Document all system events, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in strict adherence to federal compliance standards.
- Collaborate with day-shift engineering teams to ensure seamless operational handovers and knowledge transfer.
- Ensure all data backups are completed successfully and verify system redundancy.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret or Secret clearance required.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in network administration, IT support, or system engineering.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto), and Windows/Linux server environments.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
- Compliance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
