The Role:
As a Night Shift Federal IT Specialist, you will be the first line of defense for our federal clients during off-hours. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting complex network issues, monitoring system logs for anomalies, and ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity standards. You will work autonomously in a fast-paced environment where your attention to detail directly impacts national security operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain federal network infrastructure, servers, and workstations during the night shift.
- Perform routine security patches, updates, and vulnerability assessments to ensure system integrity.
- Respond to and resolve technical incidents and service tickets with a focus on rapid resolution.
- Conduct physical security checks and verify access logs for sensitive federal facilities.
- Document all technical activities, incident reports, and maintenance logs accurately.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand over critical issues and ensure seamless continuity.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance or higher required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure without supervision.
- Willingness to undergo a background investigation and adhere to federal compliance standards.
