Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage network infrastructure, servers, and end-user devices during night shift hours to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for federal personnel, resolving complex hardware and software issues.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, including access controls and audit logging, in compliance with NIST standards.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and disaster recovery testing.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and system configurations in the Service Desk Management System.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and issue resolution continuity.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans on federal systems.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or network administration.
- Technical certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of federal IT regulations (FISMA, NIST) and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be willing to work rotating night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM or similar).
