Responsibilities
- Monitor city facilities and infrastructure during overnight hours to ensure operational safety and security
- Respond to emergency calls and citizen inquiries with professionalism and urgency
- Conduct routine patrols and inspections of municipal properties and public spaces
- Document incidents, maintain accurate logs, and prepare comprehensive shift reports
- Coordinate with emergency services and other city departments as needed
- Implement emergency protocols during critical situations (weather events, security threats)
- Assist with disaster preparedness and response activities during overnight shifts
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Basic knowledge of municipal operations and emergency procedures
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
- Pass background check and drug screening
