The Opportunity:
We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently during night operations. You will be the first point of contact for technical issues affecting our internal operations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Monitor server health, network traffic, and system performance during night operations.
- Resolve incoming IT support tickets and troubleshoot hardware/software issues remotely.
- Perform scheduled system backups, patch management, and database integrity checks.
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with state IT policies overnight.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware, printers, and software updates.
- Document all technical incidents and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand off critical issues and ensure continuity.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support roles.
- Must be available to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen as required by state employment standards.
