Responsibilities
- Provide Technical Support: Deliver expert troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues for state employees during the 2nd shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- System Monitoring: Monitor server systems and network infrastructure proactively to detect and resolve alerts before they impact business operations.
- Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance, including software patching, security updates, and hardware inventory management.
- Incident Documentation: Accurately document all technical incidents, resolutions, and user interactions within the Service Desk Management system.
- Deployment Support: Assist in the installation, configuration, and deployment of new hardware and peripherals to various state agencies.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide status updates and technical guidance.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical support roles.
- Certifications: Possession of valid CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical certification is highly desirable.
- Availability: Must be available to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make critical decisions with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
