Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the integrity, availability, and performance of server hardware and network infrastructure during the night shift.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates to protect state assets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by internal users and external agencies in a timely manner.
- Monitor system alerts and performance metrics to proactively identify and mitigate potential outages.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate logs of all night shift activities and incidents.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to ensure seamless handover of ongoing projects and critical alerts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night hours with minimal supervision.
- Must pass a background check and security clearance assessment.
