Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and security of the State's core IT infrastructure and network systems.
- Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for departmental hardware and software applications.
- Develop and implement strategic IT solutions to enhance government operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Ensure strict compliance with state security protocols, data privacy regulations, and IT governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and deliver scalable technology solutions.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to maintain a secure IT environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a technical role, preferably within a state or federal government environment.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise-level databases, cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), and virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL best practices, project management methodologies, and system administration.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, PMP, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
