Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on highways, bridges, and traffic systems during overnight hours
- Respond to emergency repairs and weather-related incidents (e.g., potholes, debris removal)
- Operate heavy machinery including sweepers, patch trucks, and traffic control equipment
- Conduct safety inspections and document infrastructure conditions using digital reporting tools
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate emergency response protocols
- Maintain accurate work logs and inventory for assigned equipment and materials
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years infrastructure maintenance experience
- Valid Class C California Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Proficiency with basic hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Availability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening per state requirements
