Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and logs
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Operate radio communications equipment professionally
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficiency in computer-aided dispatch systems
- Certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) within 6 months
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
