Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain state IT systems during night shifts, ensuring 24/7 operational integrity
- Resolve hardware/software issues via remote access for state agencies across California
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Document incident reports and system performance metrics
- Collaborate with daytime teams for seamless cross-shift handovers
- Deploy patches and updates during low-traffic periods
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex IT infrastructure challenges
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise IT support or systems administration
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification required
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with network infrastructure (routers, firewalls, VPNs)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Valid California driver's license (for occasional on-site visits)
- Experience with ITIL service management frameworks preferred
