Responsibilities
- Patrol government facilities, parking lots, and grounds to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of personnel and assets.
- Monitor security cameras and access control systems (CCTV) to detect irregularities or security breaches in real-time.
- Conduct routine inspections of doors, windows, and entry points to verify that all security protocols are strictly followed.
- Respond immediately to alarms, fire emergencies, medical incidents, or suspicious activity following established emergency response plans.
- Prepare detailed written incident reports and maintain accurate security logs for all daily activities.
- Verify the identity of visitors, vendors, and contractors before granting access to restricted areas.
- Enforce company and government policies regarding conduct, safety, and security measures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be eligible for government security clearance (U.S. Citizenship preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and standard security monitoring equipment.
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
