Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to government buildings and grounds to ensure safety and security.
- Patrol assigned areas to deter criminal activity and respond to emergencies.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, reporting maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
- Verify credentials of visitors and staff in accordance with established protocols.
- Respond to alarms and incidents, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports using digital management systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or facility management is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong observation skills and the ability to remain alert during long shifts.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
