Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate public health programs targeting community health priorities
- Coordinate outreach initiatives with local healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform program strategies
- Manage program budgets and ensure compliance with state regulations and reporting requirements
- Train and supervise staff and volunteers on public health protocols and best practices
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state officials and funding agencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate public health initiatives with broader state health goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program coordination or community health initiatives
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, SAS) and public health reporting systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel within San Antonio metro area
- Experience with grant writing and budget management for health programs
- Knowledge of Texas public health laws and Title X/Medicaid compliance requirements
