Responsibilities
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data to inform state policy decisions affecting Detroit
- Develop legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks for urban development initiatives
- Coordinate with city officials, community leaders, and state agencies on policy implementation
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and legislative testimony for legislative committees
- Manage grant programs supporting Detroit's economic revitalization projects
- Evaluate program effectiveness through quantitative and qualitative metrics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, R)
- Expertise in Michigan state legislative processes and regulations
- Strong writing skills with demonstrated policy brief portfolio
- Experience collaborating with diverse community stakeholders
- Valid Michigan driver's license
