Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive policy research initiatives using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Analyze legislative proposals, regulatory impacts, and budget implications for city-wide programs
- Develop actionable policy recommendations through data-driven modeling and forecasting
- Collaborate with interagency task forces to align policy objectives with community needs
- Present findings to Council members, agency directors, and public stakeholders
- Oversee implementation of policy reforms through performance metrics and reporting
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate cross-functional research projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Stata, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated expertise in federal, state, and local government operations
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with policy briefing experience
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of District of Columbia's legislative and regulatory frameworks
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout DC as needed
