Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure government facilities, including courthouses, data centers, and emergency response hubs during overnight hours
- Conduct regular patrols and surveillance operations using advanced security systems and CCTV networks
- Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms, and emergency incidents with decisive action
- Maintain detailed incident reports and security logs with precise documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incident responses
- Enforce access control protocols for personnel and vehicles during restricted hours
- Perform safety inspections of premises and equipment to ensure compliance with government standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Kentucky Security Guard License (Class D) or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 2 years of security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight shifts
- Proficient in operating security technology systems (CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring)
- Strong written communication skills for incident reporting documentation
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and drug screening
- Certification in CPR/First Aid required (or willingness to obtain)
