Responsibilities
- Patrol designated government facilities and public areas during overnight hours to prevent security breaches
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond promptly to alarms or suspicious activities
- Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials for all personnel entering secured zones
- Document incidents, patrols, and observations in detailed daily reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Maintain emergency response protocols and evacuation procedures
- Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure security systems remain operational
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training preferred
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight shifts
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods and navigate various terrains
- Pass background check and drug screening as required for government positions
- Experience with CCTV systems or access control technology is beneficial
