Responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor municipal buildings and critical infrastructure during overnight hours
- Operate surveillance systems and access control protocols to prevent unauthorized entry
- Respond to security alerts, incidents, and emergency situations per established protocols
- Conduct thorough documentation of security activities, incidents, and property checks
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical events
- Perform routine maintenance checks on security equipment and report malfunctions
- Enforce city ordinances and safety regulations within assigned premises
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Louisiana Security Officer License or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours
- Proficiency in CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, and access control software
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Must pass background check and drug screening
