Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure federal network infrastructure during evening and overnight hours to ensure 24/7 operational availability.
- Respond to and resolve critical security incidents, network outages, and technical tickets with high urgency.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, perform security patching, and configure firewalls to mitigate risks.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for federal systems and applications.
- Document all security events, system configurations, and incident reports in strict accordance with federal standards and compliance regulations.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance (or higher) is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, IT support, or system administration.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, Network+, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively during night shift hours without direct supervision.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
